Bharat Mahal Palace is 90 years old royal residence now converted into hotel run by Col. Jitendra Singh Chomu. He is a scion is the house of Chomu.
 The senior most thikana under the Jaipur state. Maharaja Prithvi Raj Singhji of Amber’s fourth son Gopalji was ruler of Chomu and Samode Thikana, The descendents of Gopalji like Nathaji, Manohar Dasji etc. fought many battles under Maharaja Sawai Man Singhji of Jaipur. The most famous battle being conquest of Afghanisthan by Th. Manohar Dasji who compiled the colours captured from the Afghans to make the famous “panchranga” (five coloured flag) and presented it to Jaipur State. In the memory of the victory of the famous battle of Afghanisthan. His ancestors also fought against Maratha’s in the famous battle of Kakor.
The rooms of Hotel Alsisar Haveli are very much like the ones that were used by the Thakurs of Alsisar. Antique furniture and mediaeval Rajasthani style-fabrics charmingly enhance the Rajasthani experience.
